Breathedge 2 co-op and multiplayer status
Short answer for buyers who need co-op: Steam lists single-player, and the pinned developer FAQ says multiplayer and co-op are not planned now.

Is Breathedge 2 co-op or multiplayer?
No. On the 2026-09-28 store check, Steam’s category list for app 2412960 includes Single-player and does not include a multiplayer or co-op category. The pinned developer FAQ, posted by N1tr0 on February 27, 2025 and still the pinned FAQ, answers “Will there be an online coop or 2-player mode?” with: “No. We do not plan to make multiplayer or co-op. Perhaps this will change later. But not now.”
Later comments on that same pinned topic cover crash fixes. They do not replace the co-op answer. Evaluate the current Early Access build as a solo game.

Could co-op be added later?
The same FAQ sentence leaves that open and then closes the current plan: “Perhaps this will change later. But not now.” That is an official statement that plans might change. It is not a roadmap date, a feature promise, or a reason to buy today expecting a second player.
If co-op is the reason you would buy, wait and recheck the pinned FAQ and the Steam category list. The buy-now-or-wait page is the wider purchase frame. This page only answers the multiplayer filter.

Is cross-play planned?
The same pinned FAQ answers “Will the game have cross-play?” with: “Not in our plans at this moment.” That line is separate from the co-op answer. It does not name a platform pair or a later patch.
What to open next
The full FAQ still holds languages, price, bases, demo saves, and the rest of the Early Access scope. Launch-build scope and the buy-or-wait frame stay on their own pages. Player requests for co-op are a community signal; the developer FAQ is the answer.
