Will Breathedge 2 have base building at launch?
No: the current Early Access build does not include personal bases. The developer still places base building and planetary construction in a later major update.

The short answer
The developer explicitly warned players waiting only for base building that it is not part of the initial Early Access release. After the August 31, 2026 launch, that warning still holds: personal bases, separate structures, and planetary gameplay remain planned for the second major update.
What you can do in the current build
Current store descriptions confirm crafting, equipment upgrades, repairing and dismantling machinery, resource gathering, exploration, and survival systems. None of those statements should be stretched into a claim that free-form base construction is already available.
How to read the plan
A later update can add bases without this page inventing a date. If the developer publishes a newer scope statement, this answer should be updated from that first-party source rather than from a third-party calendar.
How this guide is maintained
Breathedge 2 Guide treats official store and developer pages as the primary source of truth. Current-build community evidence can answer gaps the developers have not documented, but it is clearly labelled, attributed, and checked against conflicting reports.
Exact routes, recipes, timers, and balance values are dated when verified. If a detail is still uncertain, the guide says so instead of filling the gap with a guess.
